Wonderful Long Weekend

We had an absolutely wonderful long weekend here. The lodge was beautiful, clean and super well-equipped, and the surroundings are simply stunning. The beds were very comfy and there's plenty of space to store luggage. The hot tub was great too and we enjoyed marvelling at the view over the hills while sitting relaxing in it! We'd definitely come back, hopefully for longer next time :)

The perfect place to chill out!

Having been to both cabins a number of times, it never disappoints! Ros and Ashley are such great hosts and have created a real home from home with everything you could ever need. The cabin is in a great location and feels like you’re really in the middle of nowhere! The perfect place to chill out.

Amazing Weekend Stay

Had the most amazing weekend staying in this lodge. Fantastic lodge and location. By far the nicest lodge we have ever stayed in. The little details really made it homely and cosy. Beds were very comfortable. Two lovely large bathrooms. Every facility you could need for cooking/cleaning. Best equipped lodge I’ve ever seen. Hot tub was the star of the show with a glass roof covering so you can be in the tub and watch the stars. Very quiet park , perfect for a relaxing break. We will be recommending and definitely be back!

Absolutely Stunning!

It was absolutely stunning, very spacious! Not a single issue with it. Me and my friends stayed here and loved it that much we are thinking of doing it again in a better month for weather. They have all streaming sites and can easily watch anything. Have a speaker which easily connects to your phone. Hot tub was the best part and enjoyed it! They had all utensils that we needed that we didn’t think about. Ros and her husband were lovely and there if we needed them, all round great place great!

Perfect!

My family and I have stayed in both lodges a couple of times over the last few years. The lodges are located perfectly, tastefully furnished and immaculately kept. The owners who are the point of contact for any questions are very responsive and helpful. We will continue to come up here in the future and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a break!

One of Our favourite places to stay!

One of our favourite places to stay for a few days and a great base for walking and hiking nearby. The hot tub removes the aches from the climb! Kitchen is one of the best equipped I’ve ever had for a self catering place. You can make anything you want to. Beds are super comfortable and guarantee a good night’s sleep. Warm and welcoming hosts who are on it when it comes to communication.

The best Hot Tub Lodge we have stayed in, and we are avid hot tub chasers. Everything you will ever need only thing to take is fresh milk , Everything else you could possibly need is here. Very private and peaceful, good walks. Incredibly clean and lovely comfortable beds luxury in a Word.

The Lodge was Beautiful

The place was beautiful and clean. The hosts were extremely responsive and even drove two hours into a snowy night when we ran into a problem during check-in that couldn't be resolved locally. The hot tub was clean and checked regularly during our stay. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with pretty much all possible appliances, sugars, oils etc. we had a great and relaxing stay.

A visit from America!

Being from the US, we were a little nervous about the driving since we flew in at night. However, the ride wasn’t difficult and we stopped in Stirling for groceries along the way. The winter days are short, so there is a little less to do, but we enjoyed the spa at night, made a few hikes during the day. We drove to several towns nearby. Enjoyed lunch in Killin and breakfast in Callander. On our way back to the airport we stopped in Stirling and went to the castle, Wallace Monument and walked to see the beheading stone. Our list of wants was much larger than possible for winter, but I definitely recommend the location for those hiking and interested in being close to several different areas. It is very remote, but there are other cabins on the property grounds, so if you want privacy without being completely private, this is the place for you.

Had a fantastic stay over New Year!

Had a fantastic stay over New Year. The lodge was really clean and had everything we needed for our 4 nights (family of 4). The hot tub was incredible and well maintained and the lodge was super cosy, despite the snow outside! A very relaxing break away.

Amazing Stay!

What can I say apart from WOW!

What can I say apart from WOW! Beautiful cabin. Beautiful location. Can’t wait to return and I can thoroughly recommend! Cabin had everything and I mean EVERYTHING you need for a self catering getaway. Wasn’t sure exactly what I needed to bring so here’s a wee list to help. Just your food and drink, ketchup and mayonnaise if required and your cozzie for the hot tub and ladies, your shampoo if like me you like to use your own brand. Kitchen has absolutely everything you need! Very clean throughout . Comfy beds. You can tell the owners have put their heart and soul in this place. I stayed for 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. Stayed end November (needed to chill out) but would like to go back in the summer and get out and about. Only about 40 minutes from where I live but I felt like I was a million miles away. You won’t be disappointed if you book to stay here!

It's beautiful!

What an amazing cabin! The pictures don't do it justice. It's beautiful. So cozy and modern at the same time. The kitchen is really well equipped. The hot tub is the best (really easy to open and close) and the views are lovely. You can see trees and nature from any window you look. Location is great too with lots of outdoor stuff to do. We can't wait to visit again!

Secluded with amazing views

We had the most amazing stay at the cabin! It is nice and secluded with amazing views from the living room and the hot tub. The cabin was very spacious and the hot tub was a blessing after a day of hiking. Everything was very clean and I might say truly luxurious. The owners were very easy to communicate with which made the whole experience even better! I would definitely book again.

A home from home

This was our 8th stay at Soghail since 2020 and it won't be our last. Balquidder Mhor offers us a happy place, somewhere we can turn off from the world and relax in a beautiful rural environment whilst not being too cut off from amenities. The luxury lodge is well equipped with mod cons, high end finishes and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We especially love the hot tub which is very private. Over the past couple years we've noticed how much the owners invest in the lodges and the site in general with furnishings and fittings upgraded regularly. The site is clean, rural and the lodges are well spaced. The site staff are friendly and are on hand if needed. The owners are attentive and very communicative whilst respecting your privacy during your stay. The local area has a range of walking and cycling routes and there's lots of other villages and attractions to explore nearby by car. We especially enjoy going into Callander to explore some of the independent shops such as the Shell Centre, Willow plants and the Toy Museum which is well worth a visit. We've found a new thing to do every stay so there is plenty to explore locally. We thoroughly recommend visiting!

Great Stay!

We stayed at this place during our visit to Scotland, the place is really well equipped with everything you need. We arrived and the place was spotless. The hot tub is brilliant and there is EV charging onsite (2 Type 2 sockets at ~3kW & requires Monta app) We stayed here for a trip up Ben Nevis which was around a 1.5 hour drive from the place. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and would definitely stay again!

First Class!

Spent 4 wonderful nights at this beautiful accommodation. I cannot praise it highly enough. Firstly, the location is a perfect example of what Scotland has to offer. The lodge itself was perfectly positioned for privacy and seclusion in an outstanding location which is an ideal base for the surrounding countryside and attractions. Plenty of things to do and see. We visited Callander and no visit to the area is complete without a visit to Killin to see the Falls of Dochart ... Absolutely stunning ! The lodge itself was spacious, spotless and beautifully furnished and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of literature about the surrounding area was available in the comprehensive information folder inside the lodge. Our stay was further enhanced by our hosts Ros and Ash who were only too happy to be available for any questions we had but equally happy to let us enjoy the most tranquil and peaceful break we've ever had ! Sitting in the hot tub of an evening taking in the wonderful surrounding views was first class. To summarise : we were so impressed with our hosts, the surrounding countryside and the 5* lodge we re booked for next year before we left !

WOW! 10/10!

Would recommend and I cannot wait to come back here already. Stayed for two nights over the weekend. In the hills with great views but close to pubs, the lake and local shops. These lodges have absolutely everything you could ever need. Really impressed with the rooms as they were a great size. Super clean. The hot tub was an added bonus - so so lovely. Hosts were super helpful and lovely to chat to. This place is absolutely amazing and great value for money. The furnishings are done to a very high standard. Our lodge even had a nutri bullet and slow cooker. Could not have asked for anything better and already planning our next trip. Absolutely spotless. Feels brand new. The owners have thought of everything. Comfy beds, sheets smell gorgeous, fluffy towels. Excellent hot tub which is covered overhead. Beautiful soft furnishings. Didn’t want to go home. Feel very rested. Will definitely be rebooking.

Wonderful weekend at a spectacular lodge

I've stayed at this lodge twice in the past year and will be returning next year! The location is beautiful and peaceful. The furnishings are gorgeous, the kitchen has everything you could possibly wish for (and I mean everything), including tea and coffee which is a rare find. The gas fired bbq is at the back of the lodge while the hot tub is at the front. Beautiful in the evening looking up at the stars. TV with Netflix, prime etc and a Sonos speaker to play your favourite tunes. A 20 minute walk to Mhor 84 for a spot of lunch and centrally located to lots of wonderful places to visit for scenery and coffee. This is honestly the best lodge I have stayed in in Scotland. The owners are lovely, really helpful if there's a glitch (I couldn't get the bbq to work 🙄). They really do go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. Highly recommended 👌

Fantastic Stay!

We stayed in this beautiful lodge for a short break and loved every minute. The lodge is decorated to such a high standard and is equipped with everything you could need! It was spotlessly clean and cozy and felt like a home away from home. The beds are super comfy as well! Ros also checked in with us to make sure we had arrived safely and everything was ok with the lodge which was very much appreciated. The hot tub is lovely and private but still has a lovely view over the hills, added bonus with the glass canopy over the top as we were still able to enjoy when it was pouring with rain! We will definitely be returning very soon!

Each time seems more magical!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this lodge and each time seems more magical! It is perfectly peaceful, with stunning views of the valley and hillsides that the lodge is nestled between. You don't get board of the view, be it when cooking on the BBQ, relaxing in the hot-tub watching the sunset or eating breakfast on the fully furnished decking. The lodge has everything you need for a luxury holiday, complete with a slow cooker which was much appreciated as we came back from long days exploring the lochs and mountains that the beautiful local area has to offer. Not that we spent any time watching the TV but if/when we did we had access to Freeview, Nowtv and Netflix. We also had and made full use of a Sonos speaker however which is something I wish more places would provide access to. The furnishing of the lodge is of a very high quality and the beds are a 10/10 for comfort. We stayed in the master bedroom with our own bathroom, the addition of shower robes was a lovely touch. I'd highly recommended a stay and look forward to the next time we book in. To top it off the hosts were friendly and warm and you can see that they care about their lodge/lodgers and customers that use them. Thank you.

Fantastic Stay!

The lodge is an oasis of peace

The lodge is an oasis of peace, fully furnished, sparkling clean and has a pleasant and homely atmosphere. The hot tub is also a real and warm recommended! Ash and Ross had a lot of information available about what to do and came to know. If they had any questions or issues, they responded quickly and adequately. Of all our holiday addresses in Scotland, this one was by far the best one: well done!

Our stay was lovely!

Our stay was lovely. Host is very helpful with finding places to see, also doing bits like daily hot tub check etc. Accommodation is very cosy, private and quite with pretty view on hills around it. There is almost everything you will need during the stay, speaking about home supply. Also, can order take away food from a restaurant placed on the other side of the road. Price is good for things you can enjoy during stay in this place. Our group first impression was that we would like to stay way longer than just 3 days. Highly recommended.

Loved it!

What a gem this cabin is. Although we were only about an hour from home, and only stayed for 2 nights, it felt like a proper little holiday. Lovely setting, very quiet and peaceful. The lodge is beautifully decorated and can definitely be described as luxury. It is super well equipped too. We had a fantastic stay and think it likely that we may go back. I think the cabin would be lovely for a cosy winter break too!

Beautiful lodge, perfect location!

Firstly let me say Ros was a star from the get go! Great communication and went above and beyond what I had asked of her as we were coming to stay for a special birthday. The lodge is well decorated, comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was private and huge, would comfortably fit 4-6 people! The lodge is tucked away at the top so plenty of privacy. It was an added bonus though being a short walk away from the cafe and the mhor 84 restaurant. I have no complaints at all, would love to come and stay again. Compared to other places I’ve been in the past it is a bargain for what you get. 10/10 ☺️

Perfect holiday weekend!

What a great weekend we had staying in the Teaghlach lodge! This place is kitted out with everything you need for the weekend. Highlights were definitely the huge hot tub, the bbq and the perfect pub 20 mins walk away. The lodge its self is decorated cosy and has lots of lovely touches- from LOTS of board games, cards and a robe and slippers for everyone! It’s clean and has beautiful bathrooms. This weekend was great and is in a beautiful, peaceful location also has a couple of friendly horses in the back field. The host of this lodge is great with communication and responds to emails asap. We will definitely be returning!

Won't be our Last Stay!

This was our second time staying at soghail Lodge and certainly won't be our last! The lodge itself has everything you need in it. Hot tub is great with glass roof so you can go in comfortably no matter the weather! Also, the WiFi came in very handy as I still had some work to do while I was there. Great location for relaxation or for the great outdoors (walks, lochs, hills). Great communication for Ros throughout our stay and felt we very welcomed.

I loved the decor of the place!

We have just returned from a weekend break here and it was just what we needed. The setting itself is very peaceful and each lodge is located with privacy in mind. From the moment we parked we could tell that attention to detail was at the forefront of the owner's minds when furnishing/decorating the lodge. Everything had been thought of, from a boot brush and hose to wash off muddy boots, to high chairs and cot beds, even down to slippers and robes for entering/exiting the hot tub. A touch that I very much appreciated was the heat mat for my straighteners as I quite often forget my own. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything you possibly need/want to cook some lovely meals, it even had a slow cooker! All furnishings were of a very high standard and made the lodge look cosy but modern, and there was still a sense of space. They're also not lying when they say it's the comfiest armchair in Scotland! I loved the decor of the place, the double decking to catch the sunrise/sunset, and the fully equipped kitchen was a winner for this foodie! Our son appreciated the board games and we had a lovely family game night in front of the fire after dinner. The stuff that special memories are made of.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this stay to everyone.

Wonderful 50th Birthday!

Just back from a wonderful 50th birthday celebration staying at the Soghail Lodge. Sumptuous home from home with everything you could possibly need for a long weekend. Lodge is beautiful inside and out, fabulous hot tub and the scenery is just breathtaking. Nice visit yesterday from a lovely spaniel name unknown 😉. Scenic 20 minute drive to Callandar with array of shops bars and restaurants and Tesco should you need to stock up. Excellent communication throughout from Ros and Ashley. An Amazing Four Nights!

We’ve had an amazing four nights In the Cabin, it really is a fantastic space. It was impeccably clean and real thought had been put into equipping it with everything you could need. The hot tub was absolutely amazing, especially after some long winter walks! The bedrooms are cosy but perfectly sized for a few nights get-away. The location is also very good - it feels quiet and remote but your 10 minutes from a large co-op and plenty of pubs and walks around! Thank you for a brilliant stay.

Excellent Short Stay

The lodge was absolutely stunning! The pictures in the website do not do it justice it is so much more stunning in person. There is so much space in the lodge. Everything was immaculate. The Perfect Break!

Home Away From Home

This is our second time staying at the Soghail luxury lodge at Balquihidder Mhor Lodges, this time we brought along family members and our 10 week old son who all loved it as much as we do! Well-appointed cabin in a fantastic location!

Walking and biking trails are very accessible and with remarkable views. The cabin was extraordinarily well-appointed/designed and tastefully decorated to include season-specific features. The hot tub was clean and well-integrated into the outdoor patio area. The kitchen area had most things one would need to prepare any meals. One mile from a fantastic restaurant/hotel. I look forward to visiting again.

We had a lovely stay at Balquhidder Mhor lodge. The place is secluded (many locals didn’t know about this place), the stay was very private and cozy. The place was wonderfully furnished and decorated. They even had Christmas lights and decorative items for this season! It felt like home even though we were far away from home. The amenities and facilities were in pristine condition. Most of the items that we need to cook and wash were available. Proper instructions were given beforehand to ensure that we have a good stay. The heating system was centrally controlled by a Nest and the electric fireplace makes the living room a good social place for meals and movie time. The Sonos speaker can be connected to the music on the phone and it helps to heighten the ambience of winter and Christmas season. I’ll definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the Trossachs.

Easily the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in!

What a wonderful find. The whole place is so well thought out - from hooks in the shower for wet cossies, to a fully kitted out kitchen, and lots of plastic cups for the hot tub. All you need to bring is all the food & drink you want for the weekend and you’ll be sorted! We walked to the Mohr84 for lunch which was a nice walk along the cycle path, and the rest of the time we spent chilling in the hot tub! It’s really a lovely place & we will def be back. Thank you to Ros & ash for being wonderful hosts!

We love this lodge!

It’s perfectly located for doing the Trossachs Trail and is so comfortable and cosy to return to after a long day hiking and mountain climbing. This is a gem of a find!

Located in a small hillside set of lodges but positioned in a way you’d never know you had any neighbours. The decor is delightful and cosy, the atmosphere warm, the hot tub just what you need after a day on the hills. The kitchen has everything I have at home to produce beautiful meals for the family. What can I say? We’ve already booked our return trip.

Loved these lodges

My friends and I stayed in the lodges in August for 5 days. The lodges were beautiful and really well equipped with a hot tub and BBQ. The location is amazing with views of the mountains and very peaceful, easy to get to but no traffic noise. The site and lodges were well kept and there was always help if we need it. We'd have no hesitation in staying here again.

Fantastic place to stay with or without dogs.

Just returned from our second stay at Balquidder Mhor. Couldn’t wish for anything more from a relaxing break. The cabin was spotless and so well equipped from kitchen utensils, toiletries and plenty of board games. The decor is welcoming and cosy and we enjoyed using the BBQ and eating outside at the dining table on the decking. We particularly loved appreciating the stunning views whilst relaxing in the large hot tub which was at the perfect temperature ready for our arrival. Fantastic location for Kayaking as there are so many lochs a short drive from the cabin. Good WiFi too, which the older kids were very grateful of. Great holiday where we could take our dogs,but felt luxurious too. We stayed at Balquidder Mhor in November 2021 and in August 2022 the cabin offered us the perfect accommodation in both sunny warm weather and colder wintery weather. Can’t wait to return again to recharge our batteries in the near future.

Fantastic Lodge

We stayed in the Teaghlach 3 bedroom lodge, which was absolutely perfect. It is situated in a private position with stunning views from the decking and hot tub. The lodge had everything we needed and more, was spotless on arrival and decorated beautifully. Our two boys were also impressed with the WiFi connection, disney plus and Netflix! Fantastic stay as a young family

Fantastic stay as a young family with grandparents and dog in a beautiful location! Ros was very responsive and helpful throughout, providing a travel cot and high-chair for the baby. Location is fantastic with lots of great walks from the door! The lodge is compact but has everything and is furnished to an extremely high standard. The hot tub overlooking the hills was an extra special treat. We will be back!

The lodge was extremely clean and stylish and everything we needed was available. The views were amazing and the hot tub really was the icing on the cake. Great Weekend Break

Perfectly Located

An amazing luxury lodge with hot tub and fantastic views. We have just returned from a 3 night stay and wished we had booked to stay longer. Everything about it was spot on. Everything you could wish for in the kitchen, plus surprises, blenders for smoothies a variety of olive oils to name a few. a cosy lounge area with rugs provided for have a cosy night in. Beautiful bathrooms with shampoo conditioner and shower gel ample towels, bathrobes & slippers. A very generous decking with outdoor sofa for use in the summer and dining table and chairs and BBQ. A large under cover hot tub which was quite private was the jewel in the crown The location was great for visiting the local area , walks and mountain biking. If you are looking for a relaxing get away, in luxury surroundings and peace and quiet this is totally the place for you and if you want all this and be able to discover the beautiful area and have a welcoming place to return to after walking or biking this is also the place for you ! Cannot recommend highly enough . The booking process and communication was perfect too!

Lovely birthday weekend away

What can I say…..5* Absolutely beautiful I visited with my friend and our children for my 40th and had a fabulous time. We stayed in the 3 bedroom Teaghlach. Ros is a great host and only at the end of the phone if you need her. The lodge itself is beautifully furnished and absolutely spotless! When we arrived it was warm, cozy and those sofas were just so inviting! It has to be the best well equipped stay we have had, has everything there you could possibly need. The hottub is fab and covered which is great. We were beside the field with the horses , my daughter was over the moon as she loves them. We ventured into Callander for the day and had lunch and a wee walk about the shops. My only complaint is I wish we could have stayed another night! Defo recommend and will share with friends. Fantastic lodge

Stayed here in Feb amidst all the storms but even that didn’t stop our enjoyment or chilling in the hot tub. The lodge is absolutely immaculate, so cosy and peaceful. Loved the fire and the sheepskin blankets. Lots of little touches that made the place feel homely. Well stocked with everything we needed. Looking forward to booking up again!

Perfect home from home!

This was our 2nd time staying at the lodges and we absolutely loved it. The sun was shining, yet the place was white with snow due to the weather the week leading up to our arrival. The kitchen is perfectly equipped if you wish to cook. We cooked the Friday night, and I made a huge breakfast on the Saturday morning and just loved working in the kitchen. We then got a Chinese take away from callendar on Saturday night which was delicious! The hot tub is a perfect addition to the lodge. There were 4 of us adults and kids, the kids loved walking around the grounds and petting the horses just in the field in front of the lodge. We love how secluded the lodge is, it's so cosy and Roz and Ash the owners are only a text away if you need to ask anything. We can't wait to return soon, thank you for another perfect stay :) Oh and Buddy the local dog is a hoot, he was so friendly and popped by the lodge often to play and for a wee treat!

Great place to spend over the Christmas break

A great place to spend a few days over the Christmas break. The festive touched the owners put in place really made it something extra. The little touches made all the difference

We had a wonderful time staying at Soghail luxury Lodge for my partner's 30th Birthday. The views are absolutely astonishing, and the lodge takes full advantage of its surroundings with it's large windows showcasing the mountains and valley. The lodge comes equipped with everything you could ever need, from a washing machine and dish washer, to small things such as bath robes and blankets and even to the detail of having different flavours of cooking oil available. They really thought of everything and the little touches made all the difference. It was a lovely relaxing and quiet stay and the hot tub under the stars made it such a memorable holiday. Amazing, peaceful & wonderful

Soghail Balquhidder Mhor: I spent a long weekend with friends here and it was amazing. The lodge is stunning, beautifully presented and decorated. It’s in a wonderful and peaceful location. It is spotlessly clean and has all the comforts of home. Stunning views, amazing sunsets and I’d like to say amazing sunrises but the beds are so comfy we slept past sunrise! We spent the weekend chilling, walking, wild swimming in Loch Doine by the mirrored box and long, awaited quality time together, relaxing and recharging and of course making full use of the hot tub. This was down time for me after a busy season running my guest house and for my friends who are in stressful jobs and I would highly recommend staying here for all the reasons mentioned above and we will be back. Fabulous!

I booked the pet friendly lodge with a hot tub for my birthday weekend, it really was a home from home, the stunning location, the view from the hot tub, beautiful decor, the attention to details, the super comfy bed, awesome shower, it really has everything you need, all you need to bring is yourself and food. The drawer of games had scrabble which is enough of a reason to visit. As soon as you leave you’ll be planning your next visit. The owners are so helpful and friendly, the info pack is super informative and the wee text when we arrived made us feel so welcome. If you don’t feel like cooking the Mohr hotel/restaurant is fantastic. As a runner, the cycle path is so handy and a joy to go running along. Also, totally dog friendly, my terrier pup had a ball. Loved it !!

Never fails to impress

This is the fifth time we have stayed at Balquihidder Mhor Lodges, in either the 6 or 4 deluxe cabins, and it was amazing as ever. The cabins and the furnishings are top quality, the location is just stunning and the owner is really attentive and makes sure everything is perfect. The hot tub was amazing- to lie in a hot tub on our balcony and admire the view, listen to the birds and not feel cold in Scotland in October - just brilliant! Beautiful, fully equipped lodge for a relaxing break with friends

Our second stay in the Teaghlach lodge, even better than the first. The lodge itself is absolutely spotless and you feel right at hole the second you walk in. The decor is so relaxing with some really beautiful touches that they’ve added. Communication throughout was excellent, we had to reschedule due to our original booking being during lockdown 2, Ros & Ash we’re extremely accommodating and kept in touch throughout. The lodge is superb, the kitchen is so well equipped there won’t be any items you’ll need to pack. The park itself is very quiet and well kept with the on site staff extremely friendly. It’s a great location too. Since our last stay they have installed a fixed cover above the hot tub - absolutely brilliant as it keeps the rain off, reduces the effect of the wind and still allows you to sit in the hot tub and stargaze. We will be booking a third stay in this lodge for some time next year and can’t wait to go back. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is considering it - a brilliant getaway to a beautiful lodge. Thank you!

Beautifully appointed in an amazing setting

We stayed for two nights at the Lodge and it was amazing. The lodge is perfectly appointed, the photos don't do it justice, the hot tub is clearly very well maintained and a real bonus to the property. Location was excellent and it was very easy to find, with some lovely surrounding walks and restaurants. We wished we had booked for a longer staying and would definitely plan to return.

Amazing lodge

Stayed here for three nights with friends for my birthday! The lodge is beautiful and such good value for money. Stayed in more expensive lodges which aren’t the same quality as this one. Has absolutely everything you need. Lovely views outside and nice hot tub which is undercover. We had heavy rain all weekend so was glad the hot tub was sheltered! Lots to do in the area but due to the weather we mainly relaxed in lodge and hot tub. We ate out one night at nearby Mhor 84, highly recommended as food was really good! Then went to Go Ape at Aberfoyle which was great fun. Got a Chinese takeaway in Callander to take back to lodge, the food was really good. There was procedures to follow for checking out due to covid but these were all given clearly. Wish I had booked longer as really didn’t want to leave! Thanks to Ros for checking in on us during our stay. Already thinking about returning next year.

Stunning location and lodge

Recently stayed for 6 nights and would have happily stayed longer. The lodge presentation is tastefully done and rooms all very spacious, we were pleased how it quickly felt like a home from home for comfort, despite some of the soft furnishings having to be removed due to COVID regs which we were made aware of beforehand. Generously equipped throughout, you really need to take the bare minimum (note to self for next time!). Loved the big en suite shower, provision of toiletries and the beds were comfy which is always a big plus for us. Large verandah and sun chairs were very appreciated in the hot weather we luckily had, though we didn't indulge in using the hot tub so much because of the heatwave. Next time we would probably like to visit Sep/Oct as I'm sure this is a lovely cosy haven when the nights draw in. Departure day requires a bit of time to execute the required tasks prior to housekeeping coming in, but the instructions provided were very concise and reasonable. Owner communication was spot on and Ros kindly checked in with us a couple of times. Over all, a wonderful break, don't hesitate to book this lodge. Just a separate note for dog owners, nothing to do with property, but in summer this is unsurprisingly a tick haven so be well prepared!

Beautiful Place to stay

4 of us stayed 3 nights for my husband’s Birthday weekend. It’s a lovely comfortable lodge and kitted out with everything we needed and more. The kitchen was better equipped than my own at home🤣. Beautiful area to explore or just chill out in the hot tub which has a glass canopy over it. A fab addition considering our Scottish weather☔️. Great family break at hot tub lodge with fantastic views

We have just returned from 3 nights at lodge 12.we had a great time at this lovely lodge. Very clean on arrival. Hot tub had fantastic views. Ros was so helpful-we had forgotten to request a high chair in advance but she brought one down immediately we asked and was super friendly and chatty. There are two horses in field in front of lodge which my 15 month old girl loved seeing every day. We dined at Mhor 84 two nights in a row-we cancelled our previous reservation second night to go back as it was so nice and staff were fantastic with the baby. All in all great trip and even our very picky 11 year old was asking to go back next year which sums it up. Briarlands farm, Blairdrummond and loch Katrine cruise kept all entertained for 3 days

The Ultimate Lodge Experience.

The first thing which is very impressive, before you get to the lodge you are already given a wealth of information about things to do and places to visit. I have never had this level of detail / service from any accommodation. When arriving at the lodge it is as fantastic as displayed in the photographs online, the day I arrived with my wife we were in awe as we took our first look in. It was flawless and had everything we needed. There is not a single utensil missing from the kitchen to make a vast array of home cooked meals, it is spacious and the interior design makes it feel warm and welcoming. The Hot Tub is one of the best I have been in and the location of this / position of the lodge makes it a very private experience .There is excellent views of the near by county side. I could really rant on about how much of a lovely time me and my wife had at the lodge, I have stayed in many different parts of the nearby areas, Callander, Killin, Pitlochry, Tummel Valley etc. This has easily been one if not the best self catering accommodation I have stayed at. If you like the outdoors, walking, cycling, water sports or are just looking to escape from civilisation, you wont be disappointed if you stay here. Make sure to make the most of your stay and plan to enjoy yourself - we ordered a very luxurious hamper with lots of treats from when we returned from our walks. We plan to visit again (hopefully next year).

Best lodge in Scotland

Me my wife and daughter checked in for a 2 night stay.. Wow!! Was our very first impression.. Stunning views.. 2 white horses grazing in front of the lodge in the nearby field.. Which my 6 year old daughter loved. Inside was immaculate. We've stayed in plenty lodges around Scotland and in our opinion this lodge is hands down the best.. Outdoor area was huge and spotless.. Hot tub was perfect.. Once you were in the tub the views were outstanding.. Location is great to.. Callander is only a 20 min drive.. Lovely we town.. But yeah.. Nothing more I can say really about this lodge.. Totally amazing will defo 100% be back at end of the year.. Ohh I forgot.. The Sonos speaker is awesome ... We had it up loud.. No one could hear a thing as the other lodges are a good bit away.. Pure luxury and private.. I wish I had 1 of these lodges permanently lol.. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Simply fabulous

We've stayed in the lodge previously, and even with Covid restrictions this is still a stunning place: the standard of fixtures, fittings and kitchen equipment is outstanding. The products in the bathroom too. The views are brilliant, great walks, general sense of tranquility - it can't be beaten! We would also recommend the walk down to Mhor 84 for a meal - my husband reckoned the mussels he had there were "the best ever, anywhere". We hope to be back.

Perfect 👌

We had a lovely relaxing time as a family. The place is to high standard and very nice. Ros texted to make sure we settled and to call if we needed anything . Hot tub was heated for our arrival . Kitchen very well equip and daughter loved ninja smoothie maker so much we bought one on our return home. If I could change one thing it’d be later check out as we had to be out by 10am and have beds stripped so was pretty rush. We did ask for a later checkout but unfortunately as they had a booking for that day . However this didn’t dampen our stay and honestly couldn’t fault it. Would recommend and would stay here again just look at the view from hot tub and that’s just icing on cake the lodge and views are stunning .

Beautiful lodge in wonderful location

We had a fantastic stay, the lodge was of a very high standard and very luxurious and comfortable. It was also very well equipped, the owners have obviously put alot of thought and care into everything. Covid measures and cleanliness was outstanding, toiletries, robes and slippers were a lovely touch too. The location was beautiful and we were very lucky with the weather, so after lots of exploring it was great to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day. We ate at the The Falls of Dochart Inn, the food was great, we also had a lovely afternoon tea at The Lodge on Loch Lomond. The only sad thing was having to leave. Hope to visit again soon. Wonderful Stay

My husband and I stayed at the cabin with our dog and small baby for 4 nights. We've stayed in various cabins across Scotland over the last few years and this is by far the best. It has such a homely feel to it with beautiful decor throughout and very comfy beds, it's also the most well stocked cabin we've visited. The view while sitting in the hot tub is amazing and the canopy overhead means even with unpredictable Scottish weather you can still enjoy the hot tub. There's lots of lovely walks around for when there's nice days but even if you're stuck in the cabin due to weather there are plenty of options on the TV to entertain yourself. Would definitely recommend the cabin and we hope to visit again in the future.

Wow, what a place!

We loved Soghail lodge- it is well-named! Soghail meaning luxury in Gaelic we found out. The lodge has obviously been interior designed- it’s gorgeous. From beautiful furnishings to sumptuous beds ( I slept like a log) - they have everything you could wish for and a few we hadn’t even thought of! Sitting in the hot tub with panoramic views of the hills was the highlight and just as fun again under the stars at night. We are already planning a return trip- this time with friends.

Amazing and very covid safe return stay

We had stayed at Soghail twice in 2020 with our second visit during the level 3 lockdown restrictions. Although some small items such as games and throws were removed for covid safety, it really didn't affect our stay. There are still prerecorded films and a DVD player available as well as the amazing hot tub. Check in was contactless; Ros is very attentive and easy to contact if needed. The lodge was very clean and we had no worries at all about covid safety/compliance. Covid guidance around bedding etc was clear and easy to follow. Plenty of lovely walks in the area, a great location to switch off and unwind. I will definitely book in again soon!

Gin and tonics in the hot tub under the stars!

Beautiful location across the road from the Rob Roy Way which has the most fantastic accessible walks and cycle paths. Mhor 84 a gorgeous 15 minute walk away through the woods (although it was shut when we were there!). Great view from the lodge and we loved watching the red squirrels and jays feasting on the oak tree outside the window. The lodge has one of the best equipped kitchens we've ever experienced - a pleasure to cook in. The bedrooms are small but cosy and comfy, and bathrooms brilliant. Our highlight was the huge hot tub on the terrace which was a dream on a cold November evening - lots of plastic glasses provided so we could enjoy drinks in there in the heat, listening to music and watching the stars. Divine.

Wonderful Lodge, lovely setting and well organised.

We stayed as a family of four for one week. The lodge is beautifully decorated and very well equipped and including with latest technology - it even has fancy Nest heating. The communications both prior to arrival and during our stay were excellent especially given the current pandemic. All safety measures had been addressed. The hot tub is a lovely treat at the end of a hard days walking. The lodge is in a convenient location with both walks from the lodge and easy access to nearby villages. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Great stay for the October holidays

Booked a long weekend during the October holidays to give the kids a break from the craziness . We stayed in lodge 8 , Ros text couple of hours before we arrived to say lodge had just been fogged and with the expected entry time from this being done (fab! ) lodge was lovely , was spotless and had every single thing you could think of needing . The hot tub was a hit for everyone, clean , right temperature and covered well for privacy. Beds were made and were very comfortable. You literally just need to bring yourselves and the food that you wish to bring . We used a couple of the local pubs/cafes and takeaways during our stay , who were all more than accommodating even during there tighter restrictions. We walked the Doon Hill Fairie trail which the kids loved and some Pony trekking which was a short drive . All in all a fantastic weekend and just what our family needed during this time

Absolutely spectacular!

We stayed at Balquhidder Mhor for the September weekend after covid ruined our initial plans for March. Well we were definitely not disappointed! Ash and Ros made us feel extremely welcome, safe and nothing was a hassle for them. The extra measures in place for our safety was very reassuring. The lodge was absolutely stunning, the interior was gorgeous with lovely little touches. It was sparkling clean and the views were just spectacular. Amazing lodge!

We booked to stay here after having our abroad holiday cancelled and I have no regrets, we had a ball!! There was 4 adults plus a 15month old baby and it was great for us all. We had an initial little hiccup at the start, but the owners were easily contactable, and dealt with the issue promptly, professionally and completely to our satisfaction. We saw some of the cleaning service procedures getting carried out as we arrived early and we were so impressed therefor felt very safe and at ease. Hot tub was fantanstic and scenery was outstanding. We had 4 adults and 1 child with not one complaint between us. Owners visited us to make sure everything was fine and confirmed that hot tub was being maintained which was a lovely touch. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back soon.

Exceeded our high expectations

We booked as a relaxing, but safe post-lockdown break and we couldn’t have been more reassured. The cabin was immaculate and felt like a show home. The attention to detail and quality of furnishings was of the highest standard. Everything we needed was there, especially in the kitchen. I was looking at future availability within an hour of being there. Looking forward to staying again and would highly recommend, especially for anyone who feels nervous about accommodation at the moment. Communication was also excellent and post-lockdown information was superb.

Luxurious and Safe

From the point of booking this has been a smooth and stress free experience even with Covid. Without any pressure our booking was moved from May to July and Ros was great at finding us available dates. The information about new procedures was clear and very straightforward to follow. All efforts have been made to ensure not only do you have a comfortable stay but also stay safe. It’s ideal for a stay cation, the cabin has stunning views and is fully equipped with everything you should need and you didn’t realise you needed. You can leave the car parked and walk along cycle route No7 or travel to the beautiful lochs. In one day we saw a deer a red squirrel and a bird of prey. Ros was always on hand and the break was just what we needed after months working from home. We would without hesitation stay here again and hope to do so.

Wonderful post-lockdown break!

My husband, two year old, and 6 week old baby are just back from a lovely stay at Soghail lodge. We booked our stay as soon as the Scottish government announced self-catering accommodation could reopen and we are so glad we did! The lodge is just beautiful, immaculately clean and kitted out to a really high standard. The lodge owner Ros was very helpful in answering our queries and easily contactable. We also saw her husband on site who was also so friendly and helpful. Being our first post lockdown trip we did wonder how everything would be as regards cleaning protocols etc. but the procedures for this lodge have been well thought out, and the place was even fogged with virosol before our arrival. The lodge is family friendly, we took our own cots but there was a travel cot there we could have used. There was also a high chair, again spotlessly clean. The washing machine came in handy with having the two little ones. The decking is enclosed, and there’s a secure cover over the hot tub, so we were happy our toddler was safe playing out on the balcony. Also, Sainsbury’s deliver so it’s easy to get all your supplies brought straight to you. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need. Tea and coffee etc for guest use. We really enjoyed making fresh coffee with the ground coffee provided and the cafetière. The location and setting of the lodge is fabulous with pretty much 360 scenic views. Lovely sitting in the hot tub at night looking at the surrounding hills. There’s not much in the site itself but it’s not like you really need anything as the lodge caters for all your needs. I’d highly recommend this lodge. If you’re nervous about Covid, I think you’ll feel comfortable here. We even tried to extend our stay but unfortunately for us the lodge was booked. We had a great staycation and would definitely book again!

A lovely weekend break

Spent a lovely weekend break at the lodge between 10th & 13th July. This was a much needed family break after the Covid 19 lockdown. The lodge has excellent facilities and has everything you would need for a short or longer break. The location is very private, making it easy to socially distance from other guests on the site so we found it relaxing and enjoyable, despite new procedures just in place. The owners have put in place Covid procedures for the lodge which all worked and made us feel safe. The hot tub and decking area are great and are matched by the facilities inside the lodge. We walked to Mhor 84 for pizza and Loch Earnhead for a pub lunch, while we there using the rob roy way walking route on both occasions. Both places were busy but had implemented procedures so at no time did we feel unsafe and were able to enjoy a return to normality. We had a great time and all came back refreshed. Highly recommended.

Brilliant, peaceful break in a beautiful lodge-highly recommend!

Just returned from a great 3 night break in Soghail. Ros was friendly, professional- the communication and information provided prior to our stay was excellent. Ros and Ashley were always on hand if needed. The trip was for our anniversary and Ros made sure that it was an extra special trip. The lodge is very well designed and equipped; spacious and amazingly soundproofed. There are plenty of mod cons such as the Nest heating control and Sonos sound system. The decor was tasteful and high quality-really cosy. There is also a DVD player, pre-recorded films and board games. We loved the hot tub which was well maintained, positioned on a lovely decked area that provided stunning country views. There are plenty of amenities nearby that are easy to get to by car. There are several cafes and eateries within a couple miles radius and Callendar is not too far by car where there are plenty of small shops, eateries and places to stock up on supplies. All in all, one of the best lodges we have stayed in, something we do at least once a year. A great place to unwind, enjoy the surroundings or enjoy outdoor pursuits. Highly recommend-we will be back!

Lovely lodge home away from home

We stayed in the lodge for two nights when Storm Dennis was in full swing. There wasn’t much to do outside due to the weather so felt right at home in the lodge watching dvds, listening to music, cooking dinner and enjoying the hot tub when it was lashing down with rain! Great place, all the luxuries of home, fully kitted kitchen and beautifully clean.

Absolute Perfect Tranquillity!

How can I find the words to review this beautiful treasure of a lodge? We stayed here Mon - Fri in January 2020 after getting married at Gretna Green. We were with our 10 month old baby. We had the absolute best week, from the views to the gorgeous eclectic interior of the lodge. Everything was just absolutely spotless yet homely. The decor is sensational and really sets the whole cabin off. The master en suite was just to die for, the bath was absolutely huge and we were both so impressed at the attention to detail throughout, including toiletries in the bathrooms and the little utility room in the porch. The kitchen was equipped with absolutely everything we could have needed utensil wise, it was just an absolute dream. Beds were very comfy with very high quality bedding and the hot tub was just absolutely divine after a day of walking/driving or generally entertaining a baby, we snuck in on a night time when he was in his cot. It was just heavenly, I wish we could have stayed for another week because there were things in and out of the lodge that we just didn't get chance to do. We are going to book to come again next year and bring our wider family to show them this hidden gem and we are already excited about returning! Thanks so much to Ros for making our minimoon the dream we envisioned.

Fantastic!

Just back from our second visit to the lodge and already booked up for a third visit. The lodge is very spacious and finished to a very high standard, the complimentary toiletries and so lovely. The hot tub is superb, have been to a few lodges and this is by far the best hot tub, a six berth lodge with a six man hot tub was perfect I have been to an eight person lodge with only a four person hot tub before which is not ideal, also love that the hot tub is sunken into decking not having the silly plastic steps but this is just a personal preference. Ros was very helpful as usual with booking and early check in. Looking forward to our next visit in June already

New Year 2020

Another fantastic stay at this lodge! The lodge is ideally located not too far from main road and in a private location with ample parking. The lodge is beautifully decorated to a very high standard, is exceptionally clean throughout and bed very comfortable. The kitchen facilities provided have everything you could need for cooking dinners if required. Loved using the hot tub and large bbq even in the snow. Welcome note and check in instructions from host Ros are spot on and she is always so helpful if you ever need anything. Highly recommend a stay here and can’t wait until our next visit!

Amazing Christmas stay!

3rd time staying at this truly luxury lodge at Balquhidder and once again we were amazed at the high quality of the lodge. We arrived on Christmas Eve, the sun was shining and the views were incredible. The lodge is totally spotless and Ros (the host) has thought of everything. The hot tub is wonderful, lovely towels, slippers and robes provided. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped, extra Christmas cooking equipment had been provided. Also 2 goodie bags with a bottle of fizz and a wee Christmas decoration. Nice touch - thanks Ros. We couldn’t have spent Christmas in a better location. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again.....we’ll be back!

Most Amazing Place!

Stayed here Friday 13th - Sunday 15th December. Ros contacted before our stay with plenty of info given, easy access to keys and the ability to pay extra for early check-in and check-out (which we did). The cabin was absolutely beautiful, we have stayed in the 6 person lodge before which was also stunning. There was everything you could possibly need/want included, a hot tub with slippers and bathrobes, fully equipped kitchen (with literally everything you would need to cook anything), smart tv with netflix and a DVD player, Sonos speakers and even loads of board games! The beds are so comfy, the decor is amazing and so modern it just looks beautiful. The views are unreal and it even started snowing when we were here. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, will definitely be booking for next year!

Another lovely stay!

Superb lodge, perfectly located for panoramic views from the full length windows. Quality throughout, kitchen, lounge, bedrooms & bathroom. Fabulous hot tub, with huge decking, would be lovely to see it in the summer months, though we had perfect November weather. Saw deer from the cabin, as well as green woodpecker, buzzards Jays. Another Fantastic break!

Just home from our 4th stay at the Balquhidder Mhor lodge and what can I say! Fantastic as always! The lodge is decorated and equipped to a 6 star standard... not a thing is forgotten about- even blankets in the trunk for keeping cosy by the fire. The cleanliness of the lodge is second to none. I can’t recommend this enough to anyone who is looking for a lodge break. The hot tub has ample room for 6 people and is set in a very secluded area on the decking to avoid anyone seeing you in your cossie! Lots of local walks for you to enjoy, our dog loves that he can be off the lead for a run basically the whole way to Srathyre and there is water bowls in the lodge for him on his return! Can’t wait for our next break!!

Beautiful lodge in a lovely part of the world

The lodge was excellent - we have never arrived somewhere that is so clear and with no many amenities. Everything was very comfortable and easy to use. The hot tub was also lovely with stunning views all around. Having a dressing gown and slippers provided was also very nice! The lodge provided lots of information about the local area as well as walks, something we particularly enjoyed! The hosts messaged us on the first time to ensure everything was to our standards which was a lovely touch. We will be back ASAP to stay again!

Perfect Place to Stay

We were out there in Scotland for a hunting trip with 4 people. For a more convenient stay we chose the larger lodge. Anything you need was available, sharp knives, good cooking equipment and everything else to survive the first day(s). We enjoyed the hot whirlpool after the exhausting stalks. Fabulous!!

If you are looking g for a lodge to stay in then look no further! We have just returned from a 3 night stay in this gorgeous lodge. It is not only in a great location with easy access to cycle route no 7 and lovely Forrest walk. It is also walking distance to restaurants and cosy pubs. However the best of all was the lodge itself. Simply stunning the attention detail was amazing with everything we needed including robes and slippers and of course the hot tub !! What a Beautiful Place!

Spent a weekend at Balquhidder Mhor and what a beautiful place. The cabin had everything you could possibly need and the hot tub and BBQ were used extensively! Local shops within a 5 minute drive and Mhor84 a mile down the road served lovely food. Beautiful walks on your doorstep and I took a trip to Rob Roy's "alleged" resting place which was very interesting.

Amazing Lodge Highly Recommend

We stayed in the Teaghlach Lodge at the end of August for five nights, 2 adults, 2 kids and our dog. This lodge was to an amazing standard and the attention to detail was unbelievable. The owners had thought of everything, kitchenware everything you could need, cleaning products and games for the kids. All of the furniture and fittings are fantastic quality and gave it a luxurious feel. Due to this I am so pleased we brought the cage for our dog, just to respect the standard and I would recommend bringing one if you are coming with your pooch. We had a BBQ one night and we brought disposal ones with us, just so we didn’t have to clean one on holiday! We ate out every day and for lunch I would recommend Mhor84 or the Broch cafe. Our best evening meal was at the Courie Inn, we did need to book but worth it, outstanding service and food (cheese fondue great for the family!) and children’s options (children’s meal or smaller portions of any adult meal). The scenery around the lodge is amazing, we swam and paddle boarded in Loch Earn a couple of days and travelled up to Fort William (if you are a Harry Potter fan the viaduct is twenty mins from Fort William!). I would recommend this lodge if you are not only with kids, but also for couples or with friends (just make sure you are well stocked up with food and booze and won’t have to leave this beautiful place!)

Fantastic cabin with a beautiful view of one of Scotland’s national parks. An easy drive to beautiful scenic routes around the Lochs and great restaurants. Definitely somewhere I would go back to. Excellent!

Amazing location, beautiful lodge with everything you require. We stayed for a week and cooked all our meals in the lodge. Fantastic Holiday!

Mountain bliss in a well thought out and presented cabin

This is a beautifully put together cabin nestled on the hillside above Balquhidder station. The owners have thought of everything, the best equipped self catering kitchen I’ve ever seen, lovely wee extra touches with shampoo etc and bathrobes, loads of outdoor seating space. Also, when a completely unpredictable power cut happened, owners were on it quickly and Richard the site manager was lovely and very helpful. But actually, none of this is the important bit because the view is spectacular and you can see it all from your hot tub. Bliss!

Fantastic Lodge!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this lodge. Family of 6,the lodge is fantastic has everything for your stay. Towels and robes for to use the hot tub. Kitchen is very well equipped, also tea and coffee and sugar are supplied, We made good use of the BBQ, weather was not great but at least we managed to get sitting out at some point to enjoy the views. Would definitely recommend this lodge. And Ros the owner is great to answer any questions. We will definitely be back for another stay.

Amazing Lodge!

We had a fantastic weekend here. Sometimes you read reviews and think nowhere can be perfect. Well Balquidder Mhor is exactly that! Ros has thought of every possible luxury detail to make your holiday stand out as the best ever. The views from the lodge are lovely, the lodge is so tastefully decorated, the hot tub is so relaxing. Ros is very good at communicating and making sure everything is just right for your stay. I can't imagine anyone would be disappointed with a weekend here. Only complaint would be they wished they had booked a longer stay!

Fantastic in every way!

The Lodge was beautiful. Very tastefully decorated. Cozy and warm. Big enough rooms lounge, bedrooms etc. The kitchen was marvellous, everything you need basically!. Fantastic big fridgefreezer and an oven which we used occasionally. Slo cooker provided and every sized pan and all kitchen utensils. . Slept extremely well every night as the beds are so comfortable. Plenty of pillows etc. The hot tub was fantastic, big! The views are wonderful! We went mountain biking one day (wheelz) and my daughter had a water ski-Ing lesson the next which included a little boat trip. Charlie who has the water sports place was great! All in all I cannot recommend it enough! Ros couldn't have made our stay any better! Wonderful host.

Fantastic lodge with hot tub

The lodge was cosy, spotless, well furnished with comfortable beds and fresh white bed linen, soft fluffy white towels plus beautiful toiletries. Stripy spa towels were also supplied for the hot tub. The lodge is also extremely well equipped - you literally just need to bring clothes and food! The cupboards were not only full of various sized pots & pans but there was also tea, coffee, sugar and lots more. What amazing views from the hot tub, in fact the cover is conveniently placed when opened, to give you the privacy you need. You can cycle directly from the lodge, taking care to safely cross the A84to join the cycle track, which is extremely safe. This was also very pleasant to walk along towards Mhor 84. We also enjoyed our regular greetings from the resident ponies! Ros was extremely helpful, either by email or text, making sure we had all the information necessary before our stay. Thank you once again! Would highly recommend this place.

Perfect from start to finish!

Perfect from start to finish. Ros made sure all our needs were catered for, we hardly brought anything with us because the lodge has everything. The lodge is beautiful inside and out and is situated in the perfect area. The views from the hot tub were gorgeous. On our last day heavy snow came down and the place looked amazing. We had the cosiest, most relaxing quality time!

We had the cosiest, most relaxing quality time with our 2 young daughters. The decor in the cabin was just amazing. The hot tub being on the decking was ideal as it let us relax while the kids slept without being too far from them.....it was bliss. Teaghlach Lodge - Perfect

We booked this lodge with 2 other couples with just a few weeks notice after reading such great reviews and photos, but my god we were in for a surprise when we arrived. It really has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The lodge itself is absolutely stunning inside and out, a really cosy and homely feel. Some beautiful touches all around, including the toiletries provided. The way that the living room and dining area is furnished and arranged is absolutely perfect for a group getaway. The kitchen area was a brilliant size and the cupboards were full of everything we could have possibly needed to prepare, cook and serve food (was brilliant having a dishwasher so we could get on with enjoying ourselves!) The location is perfect, with stunning views when looking out over the hills and when in the hot tub. We did have the lights off for a while and all just looked up at the stars. Ros was in touch throughout the days leading up to our stay and when we arrived she sent a message to check everything was ok, another nice touch. Everything we could have wanted was there, and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away. We’re already talking about booking this lodge again next year for a post Christmas break with friends, such a brilliant find and we’ve already recommended this to other friends and work colleagues. Perfect!

Lovely chalet close to Callander. It had everything we needed and more. Beautifully furnished throughout. Fantastic hot tub. Great walks nearby. You can walk to Mhor 84 for good food, although the chalet has a great kitchen. Really secure for dogs. So good we booked again !!

Christmas break

We had the most amazing Christmas at the lodge , it was beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree and lights, Ros even left a present for our daughter to find on our arrival. The lodge was perfect and all of our needs were catered for. The view was beautiful and could be enjoyed from the hot tub which was maintained & cleaned throughout our stay. Couldn’t recommend high enough

Don’t usually post reviews, However. Just spent 4 days in one of the luxury lodges with the hot tub. The lodges are finished to an extremely high standard with every home amenity you could need. The lodge slept 6 comfortably and the owners were happy to accommodate our 2 boisterous beagles. There are a number of pubs/restaurants nearby and great cycling and walking routes. I would highly recommend the Balquidder Mhor Log Cabins for families looking for a short break.

A brilliant, cosy stay

We stayed at the Soghail cabin for 2 nights in November as part of our mini-moon after our wedding nearby. The cabin is beautifully decorated, cosy & warm, and the hot tub is bliss! The views from all sides of the cabin are gorgeous, we loved watching the local red squirrels forage up and down the surrounding trees. Ros was great and sent us all necessary details well ahead of time and even checked in with us via text on the day we arrived to make sure we were happy with everything. Luxury Trossachs Gem!

This lodge did not disappoint on any level. The location and views were perfect. The owners have spared no expense it making this a luxury retreat. There is everything you could possibly need. Normally when we self-cater I feel like I take half my kitchen with me - you really don't need to here! It's cosy, warm and as beautiful as the scenery is, some days we felt we just wanted to stay in and enjoy the lodge! Needless to say the hot tub is a real bonus. We enjoyed every night out there, enjoying the stars and sometimes the rain! We would love to stay again if we got the opportunity. Ros the host was also very attentive and helpful when we did have a query, so thank you Ros for making it all so enjoyable!

The star of the stay was the hot tub!

We stayed in one of the luxury log cabins for five nights. It was by far the best trip... we as a couple got so much enjoyment from it. The star of the stay was the hot tub. Arrival and departure was convenient and hassle free. On arrival the cabin blew us all away. The smell of new-ness, the luxury, the cleanliness, decor... we couldn't believe it.The care taker Ros was very informative and helpful, She made us feel very welcome. We had packed too much, I shouldn't have bothered. Everything we needed was already there and was all brand new, sparkly and clean. The site was peaceful and quiet, with no noise from others, breathtaking views and lots of walking routes and lochs nearby. It really was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to visit in the near future, would highly recommended.

The hot tub soothed the tired feet!

We came to do the Macmillan Rob Roy hike, the lodge was a perfect base. Cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hot tub soothed the tired feet and the surroundings were so peaceful. Ros was in contact, and I’m sure if we had needed anything, she would have sorted it out. The lodge was equipped with everything we needed, and the Nest heating and Sonos speaker were really useful. We are already trying to escape back to Balquidder Mhor( without the walking boots!)

Cosy luxury in the Trossachs

A very comfortable, well-equipped and luxurious lodge for a special 60th birthday celebration. We enjoyed days out at Loch Katrine and Loch Lomond on a sea plane excursion, and then came back to cosy dinners, champagne...and the wonderful hot tub. Superb, quality cabin

Very well equipped cabin with quality products throughout and very well presented. Everything had been thought of down to the very last detail, the best equipped cabin I have stayed in. Plenty of space even with six people and one dog. Comfortable beds with enough wardrobe space. Nice bathrooms with very nice soaps etc. and again, quality towels. The hot tub was superb and we were in it as often as we could, what could be better sitting outside in Scotland as it starts to get dark and colder chatting to friends and having a dram........perfect. If we can we would return again. I had to contact Ros on a couple of occasions and my queries were handled quickly and efficiently. Based on our stay I would highly recommend a visit.

Perfect weekend getaway

Luxurious Lodge

An exemplary self-contained cottage

We have stayed at many self-contained cottages over the years and Balquhidder Mhor exceeded all of them. Not only was the location perfect in terms of ease of access from Edinburgh and Glasgow, it was also extremely quiet and private. The layout, cleanliness, and comfort of the cottage was top class. It was stocked with more than just basics in terms of kitchen goods and what was most impressive was the care take with extra amenities such a house robes, slippers, coffee, tea, and many other items. Something overlooked by most. It's the details that make the difference between good and great and Balquhidder Mhor knocked it out of the park. I would recommend this as a place to stay.

Stunning inside and out!

The lodge is absolutely stunning inside and out, and the views are breathtaking. There was everything we needed in the place, it felt so like home so quickly! The hot tub was super relaxing and there were robes we could chill in afterwards. We had a problem trying to work the BBQ, and after contacting Ros about this, we had someone come to fix it and show us how to work it in about 2mins - amazing service/communication with the host! Could not fault the place at all. Thanks so much for having us 🙂

Relaxing time in amazing scenery!

We had a two night weekend break at the Soghail Luxury Lodge at Balquidder Mhor Lodges. Had a very relaxing time in amazing scenery close to main routes and easy access to visit Perthshire. Lodges are beautifully kitted out and so clean. Hot Tub was up and running as soon as we got there. Any questions we had were quickly dealt with, and there's loads of helpful info provided at the lodge. Even spotted the elusive giant white rabbit that roams about – anyone else spotted it?

Fantastic Lodge

Fantastic lodge with everything you could possibly want and all top quality and spotless. Hot tub is amazing as are views from hot tub and large elevated decking with recliners and table etc. Dogs loved the off road walk to Mohr 84 pub but take midge repellent for the walks. Just Wonderful

From the moment we arrived we were already sad to have to leave! Beautifully decorated, stunning views, fabulous hot tub and every comfort thought through. The location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Trossachs. So much to do that we were spoilt for choice. Fantastic: location, luxurious top quality fitments furnishings-thought of everything-perfect escape place

Our 2nd visit & still looks as fresh & perfect as our first. Perfect luxurious base to explore the area, however when you see this place you may just want to stay here, crack open a bottle & enjoy the fabulous views - from the luxurious lounge or the fabulous hot tub. This time we had a great walk down to Strathyre & supped a few drinks in the friendly pub (with open fire) before deciding to get the wee bus back up to cook our dinner in the super kitchen. Last time we made the much shorter walk to & from the excellent Mhor 84 Bar / restaurant to eat out. We will be back - again & again!

Absolutely loved it!

We spent 4 nights here for our honeymoon this week and absolutely loved it! Myself and my husband thought the lodge was to the highest standard decor wise. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Ros and Ash were so friendly, they helped us with any issues or questions and could t have been more helpful! Lovely people and lovely lodge. We will definitely be coming back for our anniversary!

Outstanding Lodge

What can I say, beautiful lodge in a cracking location. Got home today after a 3 night stay and can't recommend it enough! First of all Ros is excellent, great communication even before we got to the lodge and also sent us a text during the stay to see if we had any issues (which we didn't). The lodge is kitted out with everything you need for your stay, all you need to bring is yourself and food! Lots to do around if you like a good walking and sightseeing break and not too far from Stirling or even Glasgow to do a day trip. Personally I recommend the Mhor84 restaurant just down the road for a great meal. Will definitely be returning to Balquhidder Mhor Lodges, Can't thank the owners enough.

Absolutely gorgeous, fantastic service, couldn’t wish for anything more such a beautiful lodge 😀 recently stayed here for three nights and even ended up adding a fourth on. The lodge is delightful and believe me has everything you need, it’s cosy comfy and talk about attention to detail. We also can not forget the hot tub. The owners were so friendly and helpful and serviced the hot tub daily, they even told us when to look out for the international space station one night which was a treat to see. We had no problems whatsoever but I can only imagine they would help with anything you needed. I had never been to a lodge before and I don’t think any others I’ve viewed online could match up to this one. Every night this week we’ve said oh I wish I was in the lodge. Truely fantastic stay

Perfect, peaceful luxury lodge

Set in beautiful surroundings with views of the mountains this was excellent. Everything you needed and more for an amazing break. The views from the hot tub were stunning and if you were lucky you could watch the deer and red squirrels. Ros and Ash were lovely and made sure you have everything you need. My only complaint was that we had to leave . Definitely stay again absolutely loved it.

A lovely restful weekend break

A Christmas present for my elderly parents. We set out with trepidation, taking account of Weather warnings. We arrived early and drove through the snowy entrance and up the hill to Lodge 12. The lodge was very clean, heating was on and very cosy. We had intended eating at Mhor 84 but took the decision just to stay in and make dinner and have one or two glasses of wine. The kitchen had everything you could need and cooking dinner was a breeze. The sonos speaker was great as It was easy to set-up and then play songs from my mum and dad's past. We used the hot tub twice and although we had to dig a path through the snow, once we got in it was perfect. All in all this Lodge is excellent. I also appreciate that Ros checked by text or email that all was well and that we had everything we needed.

Breathtaking views in all directions

Just back from a fabulous surprise weekend break at Balquhidder Mhor Lodge with my family where we celebrated my 60th Birthday. The location was perfect with breathtaking views in all directions. The log cabin was total luxury, from the cabin layout and decor to the hot tub you could not ask for better. The experience is one I shall cherish forever and will definitely be booking another trip.

Everything you could possibly need for your stay

Stayed for 3 nights in September and had a fantastic time, the lodges are incredibly well furnished in a fantastic style and equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Beautiful mountains making you feel completely secluded

We have Just returned from a very relaxing weekend break, booked as a family get away for my mother’s 60th birthday. Absolutely Fantastic!

Our stay at Balquhidder Mhor was absolutely fantastic and we really cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we entered the log cabin, we felt at home. There wasn’t a spot of dust to be found, everything was beautifully furnished and the cabin was extremely well equipped. We feared that with it being late December that the cabin would be rather chilly but there was a Nest thermostat in the living room that heated all rooms and kept us extremely warm which suited us given it was -5 outside for the majority of our time there! The hot tub was, of course, one of our favourite parts about the accommodation. It was very well maintained and had regular maintenance checks throughout our 3 night stay to ensure it was working to full capacity. Ros was extremely helpful from the very beginning of the booking process to the very end. Any questions that we had she would answer within about an hour of an email being sent and she even made sure that a Christmas movie and a Christmas card was waiting for us on our arrival. We are already looking forward to planning our next stay.

A truly luxurious get away!

Winter Wonderland!

We had a great stay here. It was dark on our arrival. Driving up with a blanket of snow on the ground -2 temperature & seeing the lodge & Christmas tree lit was just gorgeous. Cosy, homely interior with all needs catered for, we ditched ours bags & straight into the hot tub under the stars. Can't wait to go back.

We had an amazing few days staying in the Soghail Lodge

The lodge was beautiful set in a lovely spot. It had everything we needed, great tv for cold nights, beds were very comfy and the hot tub was gorgeous. There were local eateries however many were shut at the time of year we visited (18th-20th December) however there is so much to see and visit, it's easy to venture a little further and find plenty of amenities. Ros and her husband were very helpful in advising us the best places to go, and even shared their evening meal with us when we arrived at the lodge. Would love to come back in spring/summer for longer!

Outstanding Log Cabin

My girlfriend and I visited Balquhidder Mhor and throughly loved every second of our visit. Every single one of our needs were met and surpassed. Ros and Ash were on hand if we needed anything , lovely touch that Ash welcomed us upon our arrival and made sure we got in fine. The cabin itself is stunning , beautifully decorated in a modern style without forgetting its Scottish roots. Worth Every Penny

After searching high and low for a log cabin in Scotland that was central to what we wanted we came across this one. Not the cheapest but worth every penny. Once we viewed the pics on the website we knew our minds were made up. On arrival it didn’t disappoint. The log cabin was truly a home from home with everything you would want or need. The owners were only a call away with a quick response (needed a travel cot and high chair). It was that quite we thought we were the only ones on the site. Brilliant for cycling, sightseeing and relaxing.

Fabulous lodge

From start to finish this was a great holiday. Booking was quick & easy, straight forward and communication with Ros was great. The lodge has everything you could need for a self catering break. It is so beautifully decorated and cosy. The hot tub is superb, just what you need after a day out in the Scottish hills,a long soak with a glass of bubbly!! Stunning Lodge and Helpful Host

We visited the Teaghlach Lodge last weekend (17-19 November 2017). We arrived in the dark and had a little trouble finding which lodge was our one. The owner, who I called, was very helpful and directed us directly to it. Going forward some lit signs or lodge numbers near the road is perhaps a good idea. The lodge is stunning! The decor and comfort are second to none I have ever experienced in other lodges. The heating was perfect and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The hot tub was warm and ready to go when we arrived. We had a beautiful clear night and the stars were amazing to watch from the warm water. There is plastic glasses provided so you can enjoy a drink whilst in it. All in this lodge was five star. The host was pleasant and well organised. We do a lodge weekend every year as a family tradition and we will certainly come back here! Thank you Ros!

Amazing Lodge

This lodge is beautiful and in a gorgeous location. Booking was very easy. Upon arrival we could not believe how gorgeous the lodge was and the views of the mountains were stunning. The place was immaculately clean and all new, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were awesome. The lodge is very cosy and has everything you could possibly need away from home. Really loved the hot tub, so relaxing and secluded. We will definitely be back and would recommend this place for a break away in the Scottish highlands.

The lodge exceeded expectations!

It was superbly kitted out and immaculately clean. The pictures don't do justice! We had everything we needed for a family break. The Hot tub was so easy to use and was a real treat too. It was very private and had wonderful views. We were so impressed with the attention to detail in the design of the cabin and really would love to come back here one day as the area is beautiful too. Ros made us feel very welcome and the information pack emailed prior to the trip and provided in the lodge itself had everything we needed. The great thing about the location is that if you are wanting a break from cooking there are options nearby - Mhor 84 was just down the road and served us very well! Wish we didn't have to leave!

The cabin was amazing! So luxurious and well appointed and the place was spotless! We didn't need any of the 'just in case' items we brought with us for a self catering stay. Ros and his wife were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The views were spectacular and it was nice and quiet away from the road (which wasn't really that busy!) We had a lovely meal in the Mhor 84 restaurant down the road before turning to prunes in the hot tub after! :-) The location was ideal for day trips around the Loch Lomond National Park, and we even ventured as far as Oban, which was just over an hour away. Can't wait to come back, and are already planning our next visit!

You will never want to leave!

If you stay here, you will never want to leave! My wife and I stayed here for our 'mini-moon' and it really exceeded expectations. The lodges are so well spaced out that you don't feel intruded on at all. Inside, they are decorated immaculately - and even gave us some ideas for how we would like to decorate at home! The whole lodge has a cosy vibe to it, perfect for those long winter nights. Set in the middle of some spectacular views, it's great to relax and take in the surrounding scenery and listen to absolutely nothing! Ros was fantastic during the booking process as we had so many questions as we hadn't stayed in a self-catering place before. She also makes sure that you arrive and that everything is okay, which is really nice and very much appreciated. This was a real find for us, and we will be back! Thankyou!

Wonderful!

This was a beautiful chalet with everything you might need, extremely well furnished. We stay in chalets quite a lot and this is head and shoulders above the rest. It has wonderful views of the mountains and is relatively secluded at the top of the park. It has freesat and wifi internet though not brilliant speed though usable (good for this area). We visited the Blair Drummond safari park on our second day it offered brilliant value for money we spent about 5 hours there and had no problem getting on the attractions and seeing the animals. The area is lovely with loads to see and well positioned for the areas surrounding. and close enough to Strathryre and Lochearnhead to be accessible. Can't rate this Lodge highly enough and deserves the five star rating
