A beautiful spring day in Scotland so we took the opportunity to take the 30 minute drive down from Balquhidder Mhor to Doune Castle, aka Winterfell (Game of Thrones) and Castle Leoch (Outlander).....not to mention the set for a number of scenes for Monty Pythons Holy Grail....it was only a flesh wound!

The bluebells were in full bllom and we took a stroll through the castle grounds, along the river and babbling brooks.....your imagination runs a bit wild thinking about whose footsteps had walked these paths before.....real history
