How to make a Rob Roy MacGregor Cocktail - Slàinte mhor!
Created in 1894 by a bartender at the Walforf Astoria in Manhatten, New York City.
Similar to a Manhatten, but made with Scotch whisky instead. There are three versions no less. The bona fida version is made with sweet vermouth, though use dry vermouth or 50/50 for a "perfect".
Maraschino cherries might be a challenge to find in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs national park.....there must be a Scottish alternative.....any suggestions from foragers out there.....sloe berries?
