We're keeping the decking lights on for January to give a wee bit of cheer. The rain has finally stopped today and the Soghail Lodge is a welcoming sight tonight :)

Balquhidder Mhor's Soghail 4 berth Lodge is in the festive spirit ... the decking and lodge is dressed in icicle lights and we have some beautiful decorations inside the lodge...ready for our guests through December, Christmas and the New Year :)

A son of one of our good friends, Ethan Gourlay, had one of his paintings bought this week by the comedian Harry Hill. Ethan is studying art at Dundee, and we are lucky enough to have one of his early works in our Teaghlach lodge :)

In Gaelic, Soghail means luxury, and we had some nice drone videos taken this summer. Here's are some short clips showing great views of the front and rear decking.

We had a really special guest recently at Balquhidder Mhor Lodge, Alfie the Amazonian bird of paradise! Alfie is a Black Headed Caique. He was quite at home checking out the Highland Ponies, showing us where he was on our map and of course eating his lunch. Check out his special backpack for his walkabouts!
