Rob Roy MacGregor was a Scottish outlaw, who later became a folk hero. The name Roy comes from Gaelic Ruadh meaning Red, and referred to his red hair. His grave is a short drive from Balquhidder Mhor lodge. Raise a glass to his legend...check out the Rob Roy MacGregor Cocktail!

Balquhidder Mhor Log Cabin is looking very festive at the moment....we've dressed a beautiful Christmas tree on the decking and the icicle lights look great....have a very Merry Christmas!

Well...winter certainly arrived this week at Balquhidder Mhor Lodge...along with the snow we were also blessed with clear blue skis and a fantastic temperature inversion...check out these pictures...

The highland ponies at Balquhidder Mhor are in the lower paddock at the moment...and they definitely love the occasional carrot....be sure to bring a couple along!
