Yesterday's arctic blast dropped a couple of inches of snow and sent the mercury to about minus ten degrees..... but our guests were snug as a bug in the lodges, and woke up to some spectacular views of the Balquhidder Braes!

We've had 3 or 4 inches of snow at the lodge over New Year, and the children of our guests built a Snowpig on the decking. Check out how it turns into a ghostly apparition when viewed from inside the lodge later that evening!

Wintery scenes arrived as we had a white Christmas at the lodge this year once again and our guests enjoyed a lovely bottle of champagne in the hot tub!

We've had a scattering of snow this week however you can still enjoy the great views from our hot tubs, sheltered by our new glass canopies.... brilliant fun!

We have a great photo taken from the top of the hill that can be seen from the decking of both Balquhidder Mhor Lodges, looking directly north from the lodges. The name of the hill is Meall Reamhar. Whilst only 2219 feet tall, it still presents a spectacular view of the snow capped Munros to the north
