Ben A'an is only a 30 minute drive from Balquhidder Mhor Lodges and is a great hill walk for families. This small mountain stands at 1491 feet tall, and it's exposed pointed summit gives a great 360 degree view of the Trossachs over Loch Katerine, Loch Achray and towards Ben Lomond. The walk into the hill takes you through beautiful forest and woods. The final summit stretch is the most demanding, but well worth the effort. There is a car park at the base, however the hill can be very busy at peak times (bank holiday's etc). Definitely worth attempting..... tomato soup has never tasted as good as it does at the top of Ben A'an!
