Wild water swimming has really taken off over the last couple of years and there are some great locations near to Balquhidder Mhor Lodge to have a quick dip…. Followed by a nice relaxed bathing session in our hot tubs…. Read on to find the nearest locations……

Balquhidder Church is probably best known for the last resting place of Rob Roy MacGregor, but if you do get a chance to visit, be sure to also take a walk up to the magnificent waterfalls that lie behind the Church.

We have a great photo taken from the top of the hill that can be seen from the decking of both Balquhidder Mhor Lodges, looking directly north from the lodges. The name of the hill is Meall Reamhar. Whilst only 2219 feet tall, it still presents a spectacular view of the snow capped Munros to the north

Following the latest planning by the Scottish Government, we plan to re-open our lodges on April 26th. We have also been working hard to make sure that our lodges as safe as we possible for our guests, given that Covid-19 still presents a risk. Please read on for more details.
