St Andrews day was spectacular around Balquhidder Mhor Lodge. We had fantastic sunrises and sunsets, and from above the lodge, we had beautiful clear views down the Balquhidder Valley showing off the snow capped mountains

Congratulations to Kim Proven and Loch Earn Tourism Information (LETi) for winning the Scottish Thistle Awards 2017 for Innovation in Tourism. Balquhidder Mhor Lodges were one of the sponsors for one of the most recent installations, The Three Sisters in clan tartans. Take a look at some of the installations. The White Stag in Strathyre has a very cool pair of shades on! Formerly the Inn and Bistro; Stirlingshire's Rural Pub of the Year for 2017. Check out the beers and the great food, not to mention the roaring fire. A 3 mile walk from Balquhidder Mhor Lodge if you get the bus back (tip: check out the bus timetable for your last orders!)

We commissioned a budding young artist from Bearsden, Glasgow, to paint us an abstract for our new 6 berth lodge...check it out....it's the Highland Coo...this young chap has real talent!

The Canada Geese that occupy the Otter Pond near Balquhidder Mhor find a new home for the winter....not sure if they are migratory.....but anyway the first two (of many) have made a re-appearance.....noisy blighters!
