Maybe the Scottish Robin Hood, maybe an honest chap, duped by his cattle herdsman, or maybe the original cattle rustler....Holyrood or Holyweird....there are many stories told about this legendary Scotsman who settled in latter life in Balquhidder....10 minutes from Balquhidder Mhor Lodge...raise a toast to the legend....there's even a cocktail named in his honour...designed in the Waldorf New York in 1894...the Rob Roy MacGregor Cocktail....Slàinte mhor! :)

Outlander, Game of Thrones and Monty Pythons Holy Grail - Doune Castle - A beautiful spring day in Scotland so we took the opportunity to drive down from Balquhidder Mhor to Doune Castle, aka Winterfell (Game of Thrones) and Castle Leoch (Outlander).....not to mention the set for a number of scenes for Monty Pythons Holy Grail....it was only a flesh wound!
